Saturday is a Special Day
I LOVE Saturdays. This is the day that Taylor takes the reigns with Ollie while I am able to get things done around the house and prepare my Sunday school lesson for church. It's fun for me to see Taylor giving Ollie a bath, feeding him, and playing with him. There's just something about that daddy/son time that is so sweet. Love it, love it, love it!
This particular Saturday my Mom and I drove down to Provo to help my grandparents with cleaning out their gutters. Aren't my grandparents just the cutest???
On our drive back from Provo we stopped at the grocery store to grab a few items. Now, I wouldn't consider myself a health freak, but I do try and make healthy choices. I discovered that my Yoplait Light has Aspartame in it! I guess I should pay a bit more attention to those food labels. Bye Bye Yoplait Light!

Why do babies like to hurt themselves?
Why do babies like to do naughty things and hurt themselves? I don't know but my child's antics were at an all time high this week with eating dirt, spreading sugar all over my kitchen floor and almost breaking my dishwasher door. Oh and then he thought it would be fun to try and climb a wooden chest that got the better of him. It will be amazing if I can keep this kid alive for his 1st birthday.
As for more positive and exciting news, my baby sister Maya just got her mission call to serve in Tokyo, Japan and leaves at the end of July. I am so proud of her and know that she will be an awesome missionary.

A New Discovery!
A new discovery has been made! I cannot even begin to tell you how loooong I have wanted new glasses. I've had the same pair since high school and I am so sick of them. Unfortunately, we don't have vision insurance so getting new glasses has been put on the back burner. Well, things are about to get crazy because I am going to buy myself a pair of fabulous glasses. So here is my cool discovery…glasses.com.
It's an app that takes a 180 picture of your face and then lets you choose different glasses to try on. Here are a couple of my favorites.
My mother is from New Orleans and so of course we had to celebrate Mardi Gras. Ollie and his cousin Fay loved their beads. We got a little saucy with the decorations--thanks to Sagey for letting us use her intimate items.
I just had to post this picture of Ollie. This is what my Dad calls his "Uncle Fester" face. He totally looks like a grandpa and I love it!!!
Oh and PS--that dang goldfish died.

Resplendence and Brilliance
Apart from the 1 or 2 days of rain this week, it was absolute heaven for Ollie and I to bask in the glorious sunshine. Ollie texted his girlfriend Mia to come on walks with us, so we were happy for the company. I forgot to snap pictures of the two lovebirds, I will definitely remember to next week. Here's proof that we took advantage of every warm moment
We finished our week with buying Ollie a goldfish. I hope it's not dead tomorrow.
